About Us

We believe that local pubs are part of the life-blood of our local communities, and that far too many are being lost to property developers who are not interested in the our community, but simply in making a profit.

The Bailey was built 165 years ago as a public house that could be enjoyed by all. If it's lost to flats, or a betting shop, or a supermarket, then it's lost forever to local people, never to be recovered.

Please follow us on Twitter, and sign our petitiion to keep the Bailey as a pub for future generations.

We are a group of local people who want the Bailey to stay as a pub, for use by our local community, for another 160 years.
